A Quarter Century of Engineering Excellence

The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) Western Australia Chapter is proud to celebrate 25 years of serving the Sri Lankan engineering community in Western Australia. What began as a small gathering of Sri Lankan engineers in Perth has grown into a vibrant professional organisation with over 500 members across various engineering disciplines.

Our Journey

Founded in the late 1990s, IESL WA has been a cornerstone of support for Sri Lankan engineers making their home in Western Australia. Over the years, we have organised hundreds of professional development events, helped countless members navigate the Australian engineering landscape, and built lasting connections within the broader WA engineering community.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone, we renew our commitment to our members and to the engineering profession. Our plans for the coming years include expanded CPD programs, stronger industry partnerships, and new initiatives to support early-career engineers and recent arrivals.
