Our Mission

IESL WA exists to serve the Sri Lankan engineering community in Western Australia by:

  • Providing a professional network and community for Sri Lankan engineers
  • Delivering high-quality continuing professional development (CPD) programs
  • Supporting members in their career development and professional registration journeys
  • Fostering connections between Sri Lankan engineers and the broader WA engineering industry
  • Promoting the IESL brand and maintaining high professional standards among members
  • Supporting members and their families in settling into life in Western Australia

Strategic Goals 2024-2026

1. Membership Growth: Grow active membership to 600+ by 2026 through targeted outreach to Sri Lankan engineers in WA.

2. Professional Development: Deliver a minimum of 12 CPD-accredited events per year covering technical, leadership, and career development topics.

3. Industry Partnerships: Establish formal partnerships with at least five major engineering employers in WA to support member career opportunities.

4. Community Engagement: Strengthen the sense of community among members through regular social events, family activities, and welfare support initiatives.

5. Digital Transformation: Enhance the chapter's digital presence and online service delivery to improve member experience.
